Here we go....

This is my first blog.  So here goes.  It's Thursday and I am waiting on the pharmacy to fill my prescriptions.  I have an infection in both eyes, I have been waiting on the prescriptions since Tuesday.  There were some problems.  Yesterday I called to see what the problems were and I was confronted with the rudest person. I tried so very hard to be nice to this person but the more the conversation went on the ruder she became.  I eventually had to ask for a supervisor and had to repeat the story again. He was so understanding and willing to help so my prescriptions should be ready today at 2.  I truly do not understand where our society has gone to these days that we have no customer service values and no one care for the other person.  I can remember when I was little going to the store with my grandma and how nice people were and they knew your names when you walked in. There was more of a caring attitude. Today people are only out for themselves, no longer is there love and compassion for others. We try really hard to teach compassion in our home but the kids just get knocked down when they leave to go to work or school. Our society needs to get back to what really matters, love, compassion, gratefulness, thankfulness. Today when I go back to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription I will pray to the LORD to give me patience that when confronted with the rude woman again I can stand up and be compassionate and overlook her attitude and maybe just maybe she will see for herself that people can be nice no matter what..... New book I'm reading has a quote I just keep repeating to myself.

"Bad attitudes breed bad attitudes. Grumpy hearts breed more grumpy hearts. Ungratefulness breeds more ungratefulness. Praising GOD breeds more reasons to praise GOD. Thankfulness breeds more thankfulness. And a person who daily practices both praising and thanking has a rare joy that very few people possess." Lysa Terkeurst

Praise the Lord for today....
